About Chris

After earning his welding degree in 2004, he dedicated 23 years to metal fabrication and welding instruction. Mission work in Belize deepened his commitment to giving back, a passion that now lights up every piece he creates. 10% of his proceeds he donates to help preserve our natural environment that inspires his work. An architect at heart, Chris transforms raw natural materials into dynamic metal sculptures that blend nature’s organic grace with the precision of built form, echoing both his technical mastery and boundless creativity.

Artist Statement

I design and fabricate functional metal artworks that live at the crossroads of architecture and the untamed beauty of the wilderness. Minimal in form, yet rich in texture and soul, each piece reflects my reverence for structure and my deep connection to the natural world.

At the heart of my work is the rusted patina — a surface alive with memory and quiet drama. In soft shade, it rests like aged leather; in sunlight, it glows with espresso tones and flickers of orange, warm as embers. These elemental pieces hold more than just function — they carry feeling.

I often pair metal with wood, drawn to the contrast and harmony in their relationship. The grain, the weight, the silence of wood — it brings balance to steel’s strength. Together, they tell a story that is both grounded and reaching.

My hope is that those who live with my work feel the same calm I find in nature — a sense of stillness, belonging, and quiet awe. I create for the collector who seeks more than just design — someone who appreciates craftsmanship, originality, and the soul within materials.

Inspired by the land that gives me so much, I give back through environmental donations, a small gesture toward preserving our wild spaces for my children’s children.
